The Falcon Summer Open was a big success. In it’s initial season the event had 42 participants of all ages and abilities. Track stars Elizabeth Podominick and Shani Marks highlighted the event. Many illustrious Armstrong alumni competed and others worked the meet. Future Armstrong track stars also competed.

2009 State Meet Results |

The girls team places 3rd let by Sid'Reshia Floyd's win in the 100m, Elizabeth Wilson's 2nd place finish in the TJ and the 4x200 team of Suzi Adams, Jazzmin Williams, Dominique Thompson and Floyd placing 3rd. The boys team finished 25th overall led by Blake Weimerskirch 2nd and Patrick Hayden 6th in the pole vault. |
